Joe Lycett, one of Britain’s most popular comedians, television presenter and painter approached All Jigsaw Puzzles early in 2024.
He had an idea to turn his popular ‘I drink a crisp, cold beer in a pool in Los Angeles while Gary Lineker looks on in disgust’ painting, which was hung in the Royal Academy in 2023, into a custom jigsaw. This was to become a new retail product to sell on his website.
Joe is very passionate and vocal about planet friendly processes and the environment and so a sustainability jigsaw was high on his priority list. He opted for our biodegradable and compostable eco seals stickers, made from wood pulp from managed plantations, to seal his box
We have an in-house team of designers who will design custom jigsaw box artwork for our clients, however on this occasion, Joe wanted to design his own jigsaw box. He took full advantage of the custom tray base option to showcase more information about the puzzle.
Our design team checked over the artwork supplied and created digital print files ready for Joe to view and approve.
We also made him a physical sample he could view before committing to a bulk order – we offer this sample service on a 14 day lead time. This is ideal for those clients wishing to view their new product in a tangible way to ensure it looks and feels as envisaged.
The sample service also gives clients the opportunity to ‘tweak’ the design and make last minute changes. Joe decided to make a colour change to his logo, so this sample service was a good route to take on this occasion.
During the production process, our sales team updated Joe with progress videos.
