
How we make our personalized products
All our products are individually created in house, using up to date digital mapping, and finished using handcrafted, traditional methods. Our production processes include encapsulation (a robust form of protective lamination), jigsaw production, mounting & framing, sublimation (printing customized maps onto a range of different materials) and product assembly.
Our aim is to make this as simple and straightforward as possible, providing you with all the tools necessary to allow you to add your chosen products into your range. Stage One
Using our specially designed software, we create a piece of mapping in digital format, centered exactly on the address provided to us for each individual customer’s order. We then transfer the data to our cutting edge, top of the range printers to print out the unique, personalized and site centered maps the customers have requested.
Stage Two
These unique maps are then put through the manual production process. First, each one is glued with a water based adhesive and hand fixed onto recycled board, before being left to rest and dry.
Then the heavy work begins! The puzzles are carefully stamped out, one at a time, on a hand fed platen machine, each keeping its own identity throughout the process. Mindful eyes maintain the quality checks at each stage of production!
Stage Three
Then another check – paperwork to puzzle, puzzle to correct packaging! This stage shows the careful process of ‘breaking’ the puzzle into its individual pieces, to be placed into the bag and then packed in the appropriate box. Each box, with its unique customer number handwritten onto it, is then packed into the specially designed postal outer wrap.
The puzzle is then ready for dispatch!

We’ll provide you with images, copy, product information - all you need to get started. If you prefer to do your own photography and copy, we will happily ship you product samples. Map Marketing will work with you to fill out any documentation you require and work through any other contractual agreements before we get going. We will need to talk through your system requirements and how you would like us to handle your customers’ orders. We deal in a variety of order formats from fully automated systems through to plain e-mails. Once everything is set-up and tested and you are happy, we’re good to go.
